BAU Seclusion Room, Tyson House

This project was completed at the Bethlem Royal Hospital site for the trust and involved the refurbishment of an old, unsafe seclusion room into a modern, compliant and ligature free area for both the staff and clients to utilise.

The works included the demolition and removal of existing walls and fixtures, formation of new partitions for service voids and to divide the space up. Installation of new Kingsway doorset’s, resin walls and floors to all areas within the seclusion room, as well as whiterock to the ceiling. New plumbing connections for anti ligature sanitaryware to the room, air conditioning and ventilation, installation of new toughened observation screens, electrical works, flooring, as well as the fit out of a new observation room.

All works were completed to a high standard and the project team and ward staff were happy with the completed project.
